Benjamin Bouchouari is leaving Saint-Étienne at the end of his contract and will join Turkish side Trabzonspor, where the summer transfer window is still open.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who joined Saint-Étienne in 2022, just missed reaching 100 appearances for the club. He played 96 matches for the Greens, including 25 in Ligue 1. His departure was officially announced by the club on their website.
Trabzonspor takes advantage of Turkey’s extended transfer window to continue signing players from Europe’s top leagues. Bouchouari, who struggled with a back injury, did not play at all this season.
Saint-Étienne will have to continue without him as they travel to Clermont next week, aiming to maintain their position at the top of Ligue 2.
