Jadon Sancho’s time at Manchester United seems to be coming to an end, with the club actively planning his exit. Although he is under contract until 2026, the winger is no longer part of the long-term plans, making a move away from Old Trafford almost certain.
Roma had been leading the race to sign Sancho, with their sporting director holding direct talks with the player. Nearly a month ago, the two clubs agreed on a deal worth €18 million plus bonuses.
However, the transfer fell through. Sancho’s agents demanded over €10 million in commissions, and the player himself showed little interest in moving to Italy. Roma had offered him a €5 million annual salary, and their manager saw him as a key addition to strengthen the squad, but Sancho preferred a team playing in the Champions League.
He appeared more open to joining Juventus, even considering a pay cut, but that move never materialized. Sancho scored five goals during his loan spell at Chelsea last season, but his future at Manchester United now looks set to continue elsewhere.
