Kingsley Coman has officially left Bayern Munich to join Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, the clubs confirmed on Friday.
The 29-year-old French winger first arrived at Bayern in 2015 on loan from Juventus before making the move permanent in 2017. During his time in Germany, Coman became a club legend, scoring 72 goals in 339 appearances and famously netting the winner in the 2020 Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
At Al Nassr, Coman will play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as fellow summer arrivals Iñigo Martínez and João Félix. The Saudi club, who finished third in the league last season, are aiming to close the gap at the top after extending Ronaldo’s contract in June.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Coman reflected on nearly a decade at Bayern:
“It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 10 years since I came here as a 19-year-old. I’ve shared unforgettable memories — 9 Bundesliga titles, 6 Super Cups, 3 German Cups, a Club World Cup, and of course my proudest moment: scoring the winning goal in the 2020 Champions League final. This club will forever be part of me.”
His exit comes just weeks after Bayern signed Luis Díaz from Liverpool, adding more competition for attacking spots.
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany praised Coman following the move:
“When a player as successful as him leaves, it’s always emotional. But we respect his decision and are grateful for everything he has done for this club.”
Coman now begins a new chapter in Saudi Arabia, joining one of the league’s most ambitious projects.
