Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey looks set to leave the club this summer, with AS Roma pushing to secure his signature.
The Jamaican international is no longer considered a key player for Villa, and the club is open to letting him go. Roma are interested in a loan deal with an option to buy, giving them the chance to test Bailey in Serie A before making the move permanent.
The proposed deal would see Roma pay around €4 million as a loan fee, with an option to buy for an additional €16 million.
Villa’s sporting director Monchi is said to be in constant contact with the Italian club, working to complete the transfer as soon as possible.
This potential exit follows the earlier departure of Jacob Ramsey this summer. If both players leave, Villa will need to move quickly to bring in creative reinforcements—particularly in midfield and on the wings—to maintain squad depth and competitiveness for the season ahead.
